Christine Kelle (b.1983) is a German designer.

Kelle qualified as a Master Carpenter in Düsseldorf in 2009 and received her Diploma 2016 as a product designer from the University of Applied Sciences in Krefeld.

She was awarded the REdesign + Award in 2014 for her lamp design Lüster ‘Willi’. 

Her designs that have been widely recognised are often the result of her playful, experimental approach to a wide range of materials, including wood, metal, glass, ceramic and synthetic materials. 

The basis of her work is the reworking of functional objects and furniture into highly artistic objects without them losing their functionality. This is achieved by the accumulation of geometric, minimal forms, through bundling, stacking and interposition into single forms. Typical for Christine Kelle’s designs is the manner in which she skilfully introduces disruptive qualities into her work, either with material choice, form or, colour that give her objects their originality and edge.

Her studio/workshop is located in Wuppertal where she works as an artist’s assistant to the sculptor Tony Cragg, with responsibility for the design and production of publications.
